What can we- internet marketers- learn from
psychology, sociology, physics, military tactics,
sports plays and politics? Mark Joyner believes
that we con learn to control the minds of
others.

I had recently ordered a
tall stack of marketing books from
Better World
Books. Seeing as my stack had a few Mark
Joyner books in it, and I am very curious as
to this man’s success (in a good way!

), I added
Joyner’s Mind
Control Marketing online rerelease, as
well.

I’d love to call Mark Joyner the most
revolutionary man in our industry, but he’s not
just an internet marketer and hasn’t just been one
for a long time.
The more I read Joyner the more I tend to like
him
I’ve written before that
it wasn’t love-at-first-site-visit for me and Mark
Joyner, but my respect for this man deepens
with each amazing launch he makes. While others
talk about giving value to your prospect, Joyner
owns it.
A look at The Rise of the Author
First of
all:
Go
read it. Just do it- it’s that good.
What’s so good about it?

Armand Morin’s free report, “The Obvious
Truth”, that accompanies his newest release,
Internet
Marketing Explained. Unabashedly simplistic
seems to be the new stellar seller in
information products.
Carrots and Sticks
Lately I’ve covered a
method of sales, that is being pioneered, in our
industry, by
Rich Schefren. Schefren is talking about
creating value for your readers. What Schefren
isn’t talking about quite as clearly, is using this
value only as a teasing method, to get your clients
to buy- carrots.

The past few months have brought me to
a boiling point. As I couldn’t find any worthy
freebies to review, I went head-first into my
treasure chest of long-lost free reports and
retrieved something worth reviewing: Rich
Schefren’s Internet Business
Manifesto.
Schefren Begins
Rich Schefren was no
novice, when he wrote
The
Internet Business Manifesto, in early
2007. He was behind the scenes of Mike
Filsaime, John Carlton, Jay Abraham, Dan Kenny
and many more, which he is typically not
bashful about mentioning. He has been a coach
and consultant for a while, but I guess it was
high time he expanded.

Is the internet marketing world restricted to
35 year old white American males? How do minorities
figure into the world of internet
marketing?
In the past week, I’ve noticed a strange “trend” in
my Wordpress stats: People who found my blog with
the tags “African American internet marketing”.
Now, if I’ve been doing my SEO correctly, then they
got to me because of the words “internet
marketing”. But, these inquiries got me thinking:
Is there really such a social gap that Africans
Americans, Asian Americans and Hispanics need their
own internet marketing gurus? Is the web of 2007
still oriented towards 20-40 year-old white
American males?

We’ve all seen “The Apprentice” and the savvy
listeners among us have all learned something about
business, through it (mainly about self discipline
and taking responsibility for ones actions).
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a show like that
for internet entrepreneurs? Well, there is. And
it’s been running for quite a while,
actually.

Copywriting is really what
internet marketing is all about. When you’re
selling something on the net, you don’t get
the privilege to talk to people face-to-face,
and face their doubts head on. The closest you
can get, really, is video and that’s still a
one-way deal.
It doesn’t really matter what media you’re using,
be it the written word, video or audio, you can’t
get a two-way connection between you and your
prospect (unless

What does Mike Filsaime have in common with
Britney Spears? I'll give you a hint: It's not the
pigtails, cleavage or school-girl
skirt.
The cold machine-like Marketing tactics of pop
stars
Britney Spears is a marketing machine.
She records a song, films a video, goes on tour
around the globe and sells thousands of DVD's of
that tour. Meanwhile, she gets married and
remarried, forgets her underwear and shaves her
head. Now, that's a tough act to follow!
Mike Filsaime is a marketing animal. He writes up a
business plan, distributes a newsletter, records a
phone-call, does a seminar and sells thousands of
DVD's of that seminar. Meanwhile, he gets in touch
with a few associates, pulls out the scare tactics
and defuses all doubts, while calling you to
action.
The cold machine-like marketing tactics of
internet marketers
So the tactics are
definitely different, but the strategy is identical
in its typicality. While Spears utilizes her
personal life for PR leverage (such tactics are not
useful in the online-marketing business), Filsaime
pulls no stops with "traditional" internet
marketing, when it comes to
