Hi - I totally agree that there are many
unscrupulous people out there who will offer
overnight riches, take your money then disappear.
I got caught by a couple of them. I have just
been part of the 30 Day Challenge where ethical
methods of learning IM are taught. The training
is free and you are taught how to make your first
$10 without spending any money. I can’t tell you
how valuable this training has been for me. The
official challenge ended 31/8/07 but the website
is staying up for others to use. Please try it,
it’s not a scam, it’s ethical and it is free.

Of course, I can never bear the
temptation of checking out yet another marketing
program. So, off I went, to The 30 Day
Challenge page, to see what Kathy has been
raving about.
Eye Candy
Remember how I nag about good
design, all the time?.. This is it! Now you’ve seen
it. Now you know what it means.
This page is so pretty, I didn’t mind Kathy sent me
streight to the opt-in page. On the contrary- I was
intrigued! Who ’s the desperado with big enough
huevos to make such a short capture page, with so
much effort on clean design?! I want to see more
pretty design! I’ll opt in! (…or some other similar
train of thought… )
For those of you who’d rather not opt-in (you
should, if you want access to the Pre-Season
Content), The 30 Day Challenge videos are
accessible through YouTube.
It Ain’t Costing You a Cent
That’s right.
You pay nothing and get tons of material for free.
As I mention above, you don’t even have to register
(though you really should), so you don’t even pay
with your privacy currency.
Sound too good to be true? Well, for my skeptical
readers, who are wondering: “If The 30 Day
Challenge is free, how does Ed Dale make his
money?” Head over to Ed’s Blog, TubbyNerd, you will
find, at the top of the sidebar, a section
called “Hot Sh*t”. This section has a list of
dale’s other marketing endeavors, so you can
check out his long copy sales letters, there.
Also, if you’re interested in buying or
selling a website, I suggest you opt-in at
Dominiche, for a free
e-course.
Not a One-Day Sit-down
Right away, I got my
confirmation e-mail from Ed Dale (the most visible
of the three partners, the two others being Dan
Raine and Nicolas Messe) and started wondering
around The 30 Day Challenge site. There’s a lot to
see, so I recommend you start from the Pre-Season
Content (also available on the first day
of training page) and move on to the training
page (you have to be a member to access
this one- sorry).
It may not take you 30 days to go through all the
material, the site has to offer, but even if you
are very hungry for information, I suggest you take
it a bite at a time. Listen to the pod-casts, watch
the videos and do the home-work. Even if you’re too
late for this year’s event (this is the third year
The 30 Day Challenge has been launched, and it will
very probably be launched, again, next year), this
training is invaluable, because it’s really all
about optimizing tools you are probably already
familiar with, like Google trends, Facebook ,
Twitter or Firfox Addons.
Speaking of Google Trends, by far, my favorite tip
is Dan Raine’s what you can learn by using the term
“male yeast infection” :
An Incredible Step-By-Step Program with an
Abundance of Good Advice
Ed Dale is a pleasant tutor. He actually seems to
really have your best interest at heart, sprinkling
his personal advice and out-look, generously, all
through the courses. Whether it’s all about the
importance of teamwork or tools, what The 30 Day
Challenge program does is take you by the hand and
show you how to leverage anything and everything.
This is not traditional marketing that can be
applied out of the web, this is what you can do
only on-line.
What’s Missing?
The only thing missing from
this uttermost thorough course is a glossary. I
remember, When I started online, most of the terms
were gibberish. “Search engine optimization”,
“traffic”, “long copy”, “marketing niche”…Say
what?!
I, know I usually recap the most important
information from my reviewed subject, but in this
case, really, there is no point. It’s all free,
it’s all sitting on a silver platter, waiting for
you to stick a fork in it.
The 30 Day Challenge doesn’t
promise to make you tons of money, it
challenges you to do it yourself.
