The Internet Business
Manifesto (a.k.a “The Schefren Slap” )
The past few months have brought me to
a boiling point. As I couldn’t find any worthy
freebies to review, I went head-first into my
treasure chest of long-lost free reports and
retrieved something worth reviewing: Rich
Schefren’s Internet Business
Manifesto.
Schefren Begins
Rich Schefren was no
novice, when he wrote
The
Internet Business Manifesto, in early
2007. He was behind the scenes of Mike
Filsaime, John Carlton, Jay Abraham, Dan Kenny
and many more, which he is typically not
bashful about mentioning. He has been a coach
and consultant for a while, but I guess it was
high time he expanded.
Schefren had all the know-how to put together an
automated coaching information product and how to
market it as well.
Same Tactics from the Get Go
If you’ve
followed Schefren’s reports you’ve probably noticed
the same tactics repeated in each and every report
(even when the report is a
worthless long-copy sales-letter, I always
stress you must learn Schefren’s structure):
- Jaw-dropping testimonials from the big gurus
of the internet marketing industry.
- Resume flaunting (Schefren has a very
impressive history, so this and the former point
are very effective in evoking trust and
athority.)
- Terrifying scare tactics- creating a
need.
- Finding a solution. (In The Internet Business
Manifesto rich exhibits the perfect biuld up to
closing a sale- the solution to the problem is
not his product, the solution is biulding an
online business, which in turn leeds you right
back to his product.)
- Finding more problems to lead you to the
product. (Since the solution has already been
detected- building an online business- Schefren
has to create a new need. So he explains to you
all the mistakes you’re making, in running your
business.)
- A free sample- Schefren gives out a few cool
tips in this free report. These serve to linger
on your taste buds, but are also very cleverly
crafted to show you how confusing your business
is.
- The Closer- This time, Schefren kept it short
and I, for one, thank the living daylights outta’
him. One page, one testimonial, one link, one
request to buy, big font, straight to the point.
(My guess, though, is that he quickly realized
that this converts less and in his later reports
became more aggressive.)
Why is The Internet Business Manifesto
Review-Worthy?
I never get tiered of this, but
I’ll say it again, so it drills in your head: Rich
Schefren writes insane long-copy! The Internet
Business Manifesto is, in my opinion, his best
blend of producing value while selling me
something.
The main topics:
- A visual diagram of an internet business
model. (Reads like a checklist of stuff you
should, at least, be aware of.)
- An equation to help you figure out how much
an hour is worth to you, or in other words: How
much money shold you be making in an hour, in
order to achieve your goal?
- Mindset tips like: automating your
business, managing your time, the importance being
outstanding, outsourcing and the importance of
testing and tweaking.
- A sample of Schefren’s own business-process
mapping.
The Schefren Slap
If you’ve been online for
a while and your business is not what you imagine
it can be, then a quick read of The Internet
Business Manifesto is what you need. By now, when
everybody’s already read
The 4-Hour Work Week
,
the big idea behind this report isn’t news.
But sometimes you run into a slump in your
business (here’s another head-drilling: A
business that doesn’t grow- dies.) and you
need a good slap to get you out of your shock.
The Internet Business Manifesto is exactly
that. So get off your butt and read it.

for slapping me back into
action!
